Developer Tools - Networking|
In addition to your programming language, what do you need to be a successful programmer?
One part of the answer is the right set of tools, including many not provided
as a part of the language distribution. The old saying "It's a poor carpenter who blames his tools!"
may be true, but having good tools definitely gives a good programmer a head start.
I must admit that I rarely spend any time getting into the innards
of the internet or the LAN in my home. However, I see so many tools
and comments about the possibilities that I feel like I'm missing
something. Just once, in the last 5 years, I had to use a PING tool
to test a connection - but that was it.
I'm spending some time to see if there are tools I'd want to recommend.
In the mean time, if anyone wants to suggest a tool (and why it's a 'must have'),
please let me know.
